Booking
How do I book a pro?
Choose a service, add your postcode and see the pros who cover your area. Book a fixed price job at a time that suits you, or describe a bigger job and ask for free quotes.
How far ahead can I book?
From two hours ahead up to 90 days ahead, depending on when the pro is free.
Why is there no pro in my area?
AYS is new and growing area by area. Leave your email on the service page and we will tell you as soon as a pro covers your postcode.
Can I ask for quotes from several pros?
Yes. A quote request goes to the checked pros who cover your area and offer that service. You can compare the quotes and accept one, or none.
Payments and cancellations
When do I pay?
When you book. Payment goes through AYS using a regulated payment provider. The booking is confirmed once the payment is confirmed.
Can I pay the pro in cash?
No. Keep payment inside AYS. It is how we know what was agreed, and it means you are never handing cash or bank details to someone you have not met.
How do I cancel?
From your booking in the app, free of charge, up to 24 hours before the start time. After that the booking cannot be cancelled in the app, because the pro has kept that time for you. Contact us and we will talk to the pro.
What if the pro cancels?
If a pro cancels a paid booking, you are refunded in full and we will help you find another pro.
Your account and data
Who can see my address and phone number?
Only the pro you booked, and only once the booking is confirmed. Pros sending quotes see the job and your postcode area, never your name or contact details.
How do I download or delete my data?
From your account settings you can download a copy of your data or delete your account. Some booking records are kept for as long as the law requires, as explained in our privacy policy.
I did not get the verification email.
Check your spam or junk folder, then ask for a new link from the sign-in screen. Verification links expire after one hour.
